My love for Jose Feliciano all started one day when I was sick and laid up in bed about seven years ago. You know when you are sick and the TV offers you nothing to get you through the day? Well this wasn’t one of those days. I was lucky enough to land on a Chico [...]
Saturday morning was a special treat for me. I was invited to join Colonel Griffin and Emily’s mom’s Cousin Howie for an early morning boat ride on Lake Mary Jane and Lake Hart, which are just down the road from where we live. Howie drove his truck and boat trailer over from Mims, FL, for [...]
For those of you who aren’t aware, my uncle J.P. Hayes has been on the PGA Tour since 1992 and recently failed to qualify for his 2009 PGA Tour card because he called a penalty on himself during qualifying school. Emily made some delicious bread salad that we enjoyed very much. Hunter had a blast collecting sticks and watching Poppop fish. Check out [...]

Today we woke up to find the Easter bunny had visited our house! He left a basket of treats for Hunter and another empty basket to collect eggs from around the house. Hunter was so cute looking for the eggs, which he liked to open on the spot, spraying the contents everywhere. His favorites were [...]
Today we headed down to Sarasota to celebrate my grandmother’s 95th birthday! She requested a pizza party, and we were more than happy to oblige. My aunt from Georgia and cousin from NYC arrived on Friday night to drive down with us, so we split the cars girls/boys for the drive to Sarasota. My dad, Patrick, and [...]
Today we were lucky to be visited by my sister-in-law and four nieces and nephews. They are visiting Florida for spring break and drove up to spend the day with us. Since all but two of the group of us had birthdays in the last three months, the day became a birthday fest of sorts. [...]
