One of our absolute favorite vacations is on the Disney Cruise Line.  I was late to the game in discovering the wonder that is cruising, but thanks to my wife, I have found the light.  We first started cruising as a family in 2009 when Hunter was two years old.  We have only been on the Disney ships because of their amazing service, food and destinations.

Of the four Disney Cruise ships (as of 2018) we have only been on three of the four as a family (Sawyer has only been on two of them).  While we enjoy the Disney Dream and Fantasy because the their size and offerings, we also the Wonder because it feels a bit more quaint (even though it is pretty massive as well).  On recent cruises we have captured on fun in video.  Check out some of our most popular Disney Cruise videos below:

Our favorite Disney Cruise vacation of all of them so far has been the ten night Caribbean cruise that we took in the summer of 2017.  The itinerary was amazing in that it included five island stops at Aruba, Curacao, St. Kitts, Tortola and Disney’s private island of Castaway Cay.  Mixed in between these one of a kind island stops were relaxing days at sea to regroup for the adventures ahead.  Definitely a once in a lifetime vacation but one that we will never forget.

Below is a list of the dates and itineraries that we have been on to date.  Those that have hyperlinks have additional blog posts and photos of our travel adventures.

The dreaded disembarkation day was upon us as we grumbled out of our slumber around 6:30.  While we weren’t excited to be finished with our spectacular cruise, we were looking forward to our day.  Our plan was to take our time driving back from Miami to Orlando, enjoying the sights, sounds, and eats along the way.  Before we could do… Read more »

Disney Marvel Cruise 2019 – Marvel Day at Sea (Day Five)

I awoke at my customary 6:30 am to the sound of sleep breathing surrounding me.  We had finally arrived at the day that the boys were most waiting for, Marvel Day at Sea.   Although this was the theme of this five night cruise, you would have been hard pressed to find any Marvel themes during the first four days.  It… Read more »

Disney Marvel Cruise 2019 – Castaway Cay (Day Four)

After wrapping up our third day on the Disney Magic at the island of Nassau, I wrote about how blogging about our vacations really makes me appreciate all of the fun that is packed into a day on the cruise.  From our embarkation day in Miami, to our Key West adventures, and our day exploring the ship while docked in… Read more »

Disney Marvel Cruise 2019 – Nassau Bahamas (Day Three)

I was up at my normal 6:30 a.m. as the rest of the gang was still fast asleep.  I plopped down at a table on deck nine with my portable keyboard and enjoyed some morning blogging as the ship approached the island of Nassau in the Bahamas.  I was reflecting on the previous two days, appreciating the fact the the… Read more »

Disney Marvel Cruise 2019 – Key West, FL (Day Two)

After a rather unusually hectic embarkation day on the Disney Magic, we were crossing our fingers that everyone would wake up healthy and ready to hit the ground running (or at least walking) in Key West, FL.  Hunter and I managed to get up around 5 am and couldn’t get back to sleep, which in turn woke Emily up, so… Read more »

Disney Marvel Cruise 2019 – Embarkation (Day One)

After a long day of work, school, travel prep, and travel to Miami yesterday, we were hoping to get a good night’s rest before boarding the five night Disney Magic Marvel Cruise. Unfortunately, just because you plan to sleep in or well doesn’t mean that it is actually going to happen. Both Hunter and Sawyer had stuffy noses leading up… Read more »

Disney Marvel Cruise 2019 – The Lead Up

With the holidays behind us, we quickly turned the corner to Sawyer’s birthday in January. Emily, who never shies away from a good theme, had her heart set on Sail The SEVEN Seas with Sawyer for Sawyer’s birthday this year. Of course, a Disney Cruise would be the perfect thematic accompaniment to this idea, and Emily was laser focused on… Read more »

Disney Fantasy 10 Night Caribbean Cruise – Day 10, Castaway Cay

Waking up from a fun and relaxing day at sea we were ready to take on the day.  It was another beautiful morning on deck 11 as the boat approached our favorite island in the world, Castaway Cay.  Cruise Director Mike called it our little slice of paradise, and he couldn’t be more spot on when talking about the amazing… Read more »

Disney Fantasy 10 Night Caribbean Cruise – Day 9, Last Day at Sea

It always amazes me that no matter how many times you have been on a cruise, and no matter the length, you always get to the last day at sea wanting to cram as much action into your last full ship day as possible.  Have just come off two amazing island days ai St. Kitts and Tortola, today was going… Read more »

Disney Fantasy 10 Night Caribbean Cruise – Day 8, Tortola

After an perfect island getaway the previous day at St. Kitts, we were excited for our next stop in Tortola.  We arrived and docked at the island of Tortola at 7:00 am, which is on the early side, due to the fact that the all aboard time was at 2:45, providing us enough time to get to Castaway Cay.  Tortola… Read more »
