(AP) February 27, 2008 – Welcome to the 2008 Harvest Classic on Hayesvision.com. This year the Classic moves to the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida. Innisbrook is home to four championship golf courses; Copperhead, Island, Highland North and Highland South. The last time the Harvest Classic was held at Innisbrook, J.P. Hayes dominated the field to take home the title. This year Vern Shukoski strategically planned the Classic to overlap with the Honda Classic to improve his odds of running away with the trophy in 2008. In a press conference Vern was quoted as saying “After my domination this year they are going to rename the tournament the Shukoski Classic!”
For those of you that have followed along in years past you know that this is not a tournament to be taken lightly. The competition is fierce and Saturday’s play can get downright nasty.
