After a long day of work, school, travel prep, and travel to Miami yesterday, we were hoping to get a good night’s rest before boarding the five night Disney Magic Marvel Cruise. Unfortunately, just because you plan to sleep in or well doesn’t mean that it is actually going to happen. Both Hunter and Sawyer had stuffy noses leading up… Read more »

Disney Marvel Cruise 2019 – The Lead Up

With the holidays behind us, we quickly turned the corner to Sawyer’s birthday in January. Emily, who never shies away from a good theme, had her heart set on Sail The SEVEN Seas with Sawyer for Sawyer’s birthday this year. Of course, a Disney Cruise would be the perfect thematic accompaniment to this idea, and Emily was laser focused on… Read more »

Festivals of Speed

It continues to amaze me as I watch the boys grow up, how they become interested in the things that they do.  Sometimes those interests reflect the things we like to do as a family like going to Disney or the beach, and sometimes I am not quite sure exactly where those passions come from.  Take, for instance, Hunter’s love… Read more »

Having spent the last few weekends preparing the house for Thanksgiving and decorating for Christmas, it was time to enjoy the beautiful weather that Mother Nature was providing us and head out for an outdoor activity.  One of the things we enjoy doing as a family is exploring the different nature preserves around Central Florida.  The Disney Nature Wilderness Preserve… Read more »

Milwaukee Brewers Playoff Trip 2018

For as long as I can remember I have been a fan of Wisconsin sports.  Even though I have been away from the state for more than half of my life, I still follow the Packers, Brewers, and occasionally the Milwaukee Bucks.  I remember as a kid falling asleep listening to Bob Uecker on my clock radio next to my… Read more »

The Arrival of Peach

Comments Off on The Arrival of Peach

I would like to say that Peach was a well thought out and planned addition to our household, but that wouldn’t be telling it quite like it was.  To be fair, we had been talking about the possibility of getting a dog for several months, if not years, leading up to this point.  Emily had her heart set on getting… Read more »

Disney Dream Three Night Bahamas Cruise with Kee and Colonel

Day One – Embarkation Day, Port Canaveral A day that I questioned would ever come was finally upon us.  For as long as we have been going on cruises as a family, I often thought that Emily’s parents would absolutely love the experience.  While Colonel was on board (pun intended), Grandma Kee, like myself, was a bit apprehensive about setting… Read more »

Waking up after a rain drenched prior day we had our fingers crossed for nice weather.  Southern California delivered, as it so often does.  With plans to head out to the Little Corona Del Mar Beach in the afternoon, we were up early to get some park time in.  Emily was dead set on us all getting up before 7… Read more »

We successfully crammed in a full day of fun at Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland Park on our third day at the Resort. Although we rode a ton of rides our favorites were Radiator Springs Racers and Indiana Jones attractions. We also enjoyed a chill lunch at the Blue Bayou Cafe.
