Emily decided that she would like to share the day with Grandma and Poppop Colonel and enjoy a late breakfast at\u00a0Disney’s Polynesian Resort.\u00a0 Emily loves this place for breakfast, and because Colonel was working on Sunday, this was a great excuse for us all to get together.\u00a0 Before we departed, Emily’s parents stopped by to drop off a really neat present that Grandma and Hunter had worked on over the previous weeks.\u00a0 I guess I am assuming at this point that Colonel didn’t help with this project, but I am sure he added his floral expertise to the project in some fashion.\u00a0 Hunter and Grandma created this really cool flower display made out of color cut-outs of Hunter’s hands.\u00a0 You can see the picture to the left.\u00a0 It was really quite impressive.\u00a0 Watch out Martha!<\/p>\n
After we admired the Mother’s Day gifts we hit the road to the Polynesian Resort.\u00a0 This has come to be one of Hunter’s favorite spots as well because he knows that these trips are often ended with a trip on the monorail.\u00a0 We arrived at the Polynesian about 10:55 which gave us a few minutes to capture a few photos at my favorite spot near the resort entrance.\u00a0 We captured some great photos which you can see below.<\/p>\n
After the photo shoot we headed to the Kona Cafe and had a delicious breakfast.\u00a0 If you have not eaten there I would highly recommend the scrambled eggs and the Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes.\u00a0 We devoured our food, shared some stories, and followed Hunter’s lead out of the restaurant.\u00a0 Those of you following along from home can probably guess where we headed next, THE MONORAIL!\u00a0 We took a trip all the way around and ended up back at the Polynesian where we shared a dole whip and took in the sights and sounds of the resort.<\/p>\n
After our delicious dole whip the Colonel recommended that we go on a boat ride which we all agreed would be fun.\u00a0 The trip was fun and Hunter had a perfect view of the monorail track which kept his index finger very busy pointing them all out to us.\u00a0 We ended up getting off the boat at the Grand Floridian which is where we took some great photos.\u00a0 We ended the morning with one last monorail ride from the Grand back to the Poly.\u00a0 We headed home from there and Hunter was crashed in the car seat\u00a0 before we hit the highway.\u00a0 It was a fun morning doing “nothing” which is sometimes our favorite thing to do at Disney World.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
