For those of you who know me well you might know that my birthday is on March 10th.\u00a0 Because nothing cool really happens during the week, Emily decided to plan some fun activities for the weekend because I will be away at the Harvest Classic next weekend.\u00a0 We all arose early on Saturday, got ready and headed out for a fun breakfast for what we hoped were authentic Jersey bagel sandwiches.\u00a0 I\u00a0guess a bit of a back-story is necessary.<\/p>\n
Emily and I have visited Jon Tettambel (and Kim Tettambel) in New Jersey over the past 5 years.\u00a0 Whenever we visited Jon would always go out first thing on the first morning of our arrival and pick up these amazing bagel sandwiches.\u00a0 If you have not had them, you need to make a trip to Jersey just to get these!\u00a0 Ever since the road trip when we had them on two separate occasions, we have been on a quest to either find the ingredients to make them ourselves or better yet, find a place that can make them the way we remember.\u00a0 Emily was going to go through the trouble of mail ordering me some Jersey bagels when she found\u00a0a Jersey bagel restaurant in Winter Garden, FL (about a 30 min drive).\u00a0 We thought we needed to give this place a try and see what we could find.<\/p>\n
After crossing the great city of Orlando, we arrived at Jesery\u00a0Shore Cafe & Deli\u00a0at about 9:15 am.\u00a0 We had the entire place to ourself and we were greeted by the two very nice owners of the restuarant.\u00a0 The gentleman was a native Jesery resident and he and his wife knew just what we were looking for as we described our desired sandwich in painstaking detail.\u00a0 Since Hunter didn’t seem too interested in a bagel sandwich, we ordered him a delicious waffel.\u00a0 The sandwiches, while not the original, were exactly what we were looking for.\u00a0 The food and service were top notch and got our day off to a fantastic start.<\/p>\n
After our delicious breakfast we headed to downtown Winter Garden, which we don’t often frequent, to check out the Saturday morning farmers market.\u00a0 Emily had deemed the day fisheye fun day so I was only allowed to take my fisheye lens for my camera.\u00a0 I thought this was a really fun idea and you will see some interesting shots below.\u00a0 We walked around the market and Hunter took us to see the power generator a couple of times as well as following the horsy doggie (just a really big dog) around the market.\u00a0 We purchased a few produce items and made our way back to the car with the splendid background of Hunter screaming.<\/p>\n
We thought this would be a good time to go for a drive and give him a chance to take a nap.\u00a0 Great plan, poor execution.\u00a0 Hunter decided that he was not in the mood for sleeping.\u00a0 After driving for about 30 minutes we ended up around Disney and decided to go and walk around Epcot because it was such a beautiful day.\u00a0 This we did and enjoyed it very much.\u00a0 We made our lap around the World Showcase and as we were passing by Japan Hunter said “go see train” as we were headed toward Germany.\u00a0 Those of you who ha![\"patricks-bday-weekend-09-day-1-07.jpg\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hayesvision.com\/home\/wp-content\/gallery\/patricks-bday-09-day-01\/patricks-bday-weekend-09-day-1-07.jpg?resize=266%2C188\")
ve been to Epcot know that there is a train set up just outside Germany that Hunter has seen a few times.\u00a0 We were just amazed that although you could not see the train, Hunter knew where he was and that it was just ahead on the right.\u00a0 Crazy.<\/p>\n
We completed our trip around Epcot and headed to the car to head home.\u00a0 As expected Hunter crashed on the way home.<\/p>\n
We ended the night we a delicious dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse thanks to a generous gift from our friend J.R.\u00a0 The meal was great and it was a relaxing event thanks to Grandma and Poppop and their gracious babysitting offer.\u00a0 All-in-all it was a great, relaxing day.<\/p>\n
