Emily and I thought it would be cool to add a segment to Hayesvision.com to share some of our favorite websites with you in the event that you were unaware of them.

The first website that I would like to share with you is one that I have been using for two years now,  shutterstock.com.  The purpose of the website is two fold: if you are a professional, or even an amateur, photographer you can upload some of your best images for sale, which then of course leads to the second purpose of the website which is to purchase photos for use in publications or websites.  In this economic time I thought I would take a second to focus on the photo submission process as a way to make a couple extra bucks if you think you have some sell-able images.  You don’t need fancy equipment, just a good eye and a few extra minutes.  If you think you have some chops (they took me so how hard can it be?), give it a shot.  It is fun and a good way to earn a few extra bucks.  It also is a great way to see what other photographers are doing to help you with your own images and creative process.
