It was a beautiful day in Central Florida today so we spent the better part of the day outside enjoying Disney’s Fort Wilderness. We often frequent Fort Wilderness when we want to spend some time outside and pretend we aren’t in Florida. Because we love it so much we decided to make it Hunter’s three words for the week (pine cone art brought to you by Emily).

Sunday, February 14th, 2010We took a fun tour of the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Studios to capture this week’s three words.
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty Seven
Sunday, February 7th, 2010Emily is hands down the best shopper I have ever met. She found this gem of a shirt and traveled the better part of the Sunshine State to locate it. It was worth it to capture this week’s photo. Enjoy.
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty Six
Sunday, January 31st, 2010This week it felt like Hunter had more time outs (times out?) than the NBA finals. Emily thought, “Why not capture it in a Three Words?”
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty Five
Sunday, January 24th, 2010Off our fun trip to Wisconsin, Hunter caught a bug and spent the majority of the week resting. We emptied a number of boxes of Kleenex!
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty Four
Sunday, January 17th, 2010We decided to take a trip to see Grandma Jean, Papa Don and the Toney family in sunny Wisconsin. This was Hunter’s first time seeing snow and he absolutely loved it. We built our first snowman and went sledding a couple times as well. I don’t think this will be our last trip to see the snow!
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty Three
Sunday, January 10th, 2010Those of you who were following along with the drama from Hunter’s broken arm were probably awaiting this next post. We decided one crib accident was plenty for us and converted Hunter’s crib into his big boy bed as soon as his cast came off. So far, he has made an easy transition.
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty Two
Sunday, January 3rd, 2010One of the benefits of living in Florida is the beautiful winter months that help us get through the hot summer. This year has been unusually cold here in the Sunshine State. This week we wrapped up (literally and figuratively) our wonderful holidays with a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to take in the Spectacle of Dancing Lights and some hot chocolate!
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty One
Sunday, December 27th, 2009There is no better time around the Hayes household than Christmas time! The three words below sum it up pretty well!
Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Forty
Sunday, December 20th, 2009Ah Christmas time is near which always means one thing for certain, Grandma Jean sends her annual batch of pfeffernusse cookies! These bad boys are hard as a rock and might not be packed with the most flavor your ever tasted, but they represent Christmas and they are good! This year Hunter really took a liking to the pfeffernusse and asked for them on many occasions (most likely because of the earth shattering crunch)! Being the giver and sharer that Hunter has become he said, unprompted, “We should bring these over to Grandma Curly’s and share them with Uncle Drew, Aunty Fran, Grandma and Pop Pop.” I was so happy that Hunter thought of this great idea that I really wanted to take them with us.
Fast forward to us getting in the car and I thought it would be a wonderful idea to just set the cookie tin on top of the car while I put Hunter in his car seat. “I won’t forget,” I thought. Before we headed to Grandma’s, we of course needed to stop at Starbucks because that was on the way??? Twenty minutes into our trip to Starbucks, I realized that I think I forgot to take the cookies off the top of the car. I was not happy. When we got to Starbucks, we checked the top of the car, but there were no cookies. After we got our drinks we began to retrace our drive and search for the tin. Thank goodness we found it (in the entrance of our neighborhood)! Even the strength of these cookies (which was quite a hot topic on Facebook) couldn’t withstand the beating that the car must have given them. The tin wasn’t the only thing crushed… Hunter cried SO hard when we had to tell him the cookies were all gone. Thanks Grandma Jean for sending us more. Sorry Mike Hayes that you got gypped out of your cookies due to my negligence!
