You Know You Need A Date When….
….you fix dinner for the kids so they can eat early so that you can have a dinner where you actually have an adult conversation instead of correcting manners and jumping up to refill milk glasses and get the ketchup and your kids are so excited for you that they set the table up all romantic with little lego people and Valentine’s Day snow globes and insist upon serving the dinner to you that YOU cooked and then they dim the lights and go away and actually leave you alone for ten minutes and all you can do is eat your dinner and drink your wine in total silence with the exception of the Hannah Montana theme song in the background because you are so scared that someone will call your name or need you and you won’t get to finish. That, and oh yeah, the fact that neither of us has a job right now so….DATE? What’s that?
